About İklim Energy
Born from engineering, grown through energy.
An engineering company that delivers the energy transition in the field
İklim Energy was founded in 2016 by Prof. Dr. Kutalmış Güven and Onur Özcan at Kırıkkale University Technopark to carry out research and development in renewable energy. That science-based approach remains the starting point of every project we take on.
What began as an R&D venture now spans every field of energy under İklim Invest Enerji ve Teknoloji Yatırımları A.Ş. From solar, wind and hydropower plants to energy storage systems, and from power lines to substations and switchyards, we provide feasibility, design, construction and operation services. We also support investors through YEKA consultancy, owner’s engineering, carbon emission assessment and financing solutions.
Our headquarters is in Ankara, our R&D center at ADÜ Technopark in Aydın and our steel manufacturing plant in İzmir. Through İklim Energy East Africa in Kenya we operate across Africa, and through our liaison offices in the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Arab Emirates we serve international markets.
With more than 250 MWe of EPC experience, a project development portfolio exceeding 1 GW, 860 projects and a presence in 7 countries, we are an engineering company that does not just talk about the energy transition but delivers it in the field.

From Technopark to the world
- 2016
Founded at Kırıkkale University Technopark to carry out research and development in renewable energy.
- 2017
Received its first EU research and development support with the “Smart Module” project, which was selected as an exemplary project.
- 2018
Delivered its first public-sector project: the largest solar power plant in the region, built for Kırıkkale Municipality.
- Global
Expanded abroad with İklim Energy East Africa in Nairobi, Kenya, and liaison offices in the UK, the USA and the UAE.
- Today
250 MWe+ of EPC experience, a 1 GW+ project development portfolio, 860 projects and a presence in 7 countries.
